No Te Apures is organized by Susanne and Alan Twigg.
We are passionate close-embrace tango dancers and travel frequently to Encuentros in Europe and the United States. Tenerife has been our home since 2012. We know the island very well and we lived in Puerto de la Cruz for 3 years before moving to the south.
Over the years we have organized a large number of local milongas in the north and south of the island. We have also organized tango holidays in the north and the south of the island.
Together, we are also responsible for our Encuentro Milonguero VidaMia, which takes place annually in November. Alan is also part of the team behind the annual La Mirada New Year tango meeting in the South of Tenerife.
No Te Apures
After the success of Vida Mia, we wanted to offer close-embrace dancers a second or alternative opportunity to come to Tenerife in the winter. Many of the dancers who came to VidaMia for the first time stayed in Tenerife for a week or more. Even after we were forced to cancel VidaMia in January because of Covid polices, more than 50 dancers came to the island just to escape the winter, recharge and soak up some light!
So we got to thinking, if dancers want to come to Tenerife anyway for 7 days or more, why not create a concept that combines a relaxing holiday with the close-embrace dancing that we love.
Everyday over 8 days there will be one lovely milonga either in the evening or in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to enjoy your holiday without worrying about how you are going to get enough sleep! Because it’s spaced out over eight days, you’ll dance more, be more relaxed and more alive.
“No Te Apures” – Holiday in Tenerife combined with the best tango, the best music and a fantastic energy.
We hope to greet you soon in Tenerife…
